Are you Regular?

The Importance of Being Regular  with Mr. Collin Oscopy Have you thanked your garbage man lately? I didn’t think so. I always feel sorry for the garbage man because everyone expects so much from him, but they never think to thank him, or even make small efforts to make his job easier. Too often people throw out trash without tying the bags or not properly throwing away sharp objects.

Ahh, that’s right, I am your colon! Allow me to officially introduce myself. My name is Collin Colon, also known as Mr. Collin Oscopy. You’ve overlooked me for years, and I’ve had enough. It’s time for me to tell you the real facts about what is going on inside your body.

A few things you need to know:

1. All of that convenient, "fast" food (microwave, drive-through, you fill in the blank...) that you’ve been eating lately seriously affects me! 

I’m designed to function smoothly, like a sewer system taking away all the waste. But over the years your diet has been, well, terrible. Yes, all those chips and fried foods from last week? I'm still dealing with that mess! It really clogs me up.

I have seen you unclog your toilet and shower drains many times over the years, but you forget about me, and I'm with you all day, every day.

Did you know that the average colon of someone in western culture carries over 5 pounds of half-digested red meat? And that’s not all… add another 5-10 pounds of toxic waste. (Talk about getting clogged up!)

2. Here’s how it happens:
